Jalapeno Corn Bread

Ingredients

1 cup meal 1 tsp.  soda
1 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup salad oil

2 eggs

1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup buttermilk 1/2 cup cream style corn
1 cup grated cheese 3 Jalapeno peppers, chopped

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400°.  Combine all ingredients until thoroughly mixed.  Pour into an ungreased, 9 x 13, baking pan.  Bake for 35 Minutes or until firm.  May be doubled. If so, reduce heat to 350°.  Bake for approximately 1 hour or until bread is firm in middle.
