Springhill, Louisiana
Pastors G. R. and Linda Collier began their ministry at First Assembly of God
on September 15, 1994. Brother Collier was born in Illinois and grew up in
the farm country of northwest Iowa. Before entering into the ministry,
Pastor served a total of eleven years in the United States Army. He has
earned a B.A. in Theology and is continuing his postgraduate studies in the same
discipline. He entered into the ministry full time, in May of 1988.
He was ordained in the ministry on May 16, 1991 while ministering at Broadmoor
Assembly of God in Shreveport, Louisiana, with Pastor Don Logan. The Colliers also served another 1 1/2
years in Jonesboro, Louisiana as Associate Pastors, and another 1 1/2 years as
evangelists. In addition to his pastoral duties, Brother Collier is
presently serving as a member of the Bossier City Section Presbytery Committee
and as Louisiana District Assistant Christian Education Director.
While serving in the military, on August 9, 1978, Brother Collier married
Miss Linda Thomson of Hartford, Connecticut. Linda is credentialed with
the Assemblies of God with a Specialized License in the ministry of Christian
Education. Her disciplines of study have been in administration as well as
Christian Education. Sister Collier is a qualified partner with her
husband in the pastoral ministry. In addition to these pastoral duties,
she serves the Louisiana District Women's Ministries in an intercessory prayer
committee. In the past, she has served three different Sections as their
Sectional Missionette Sponsor and later as the Louisiana District Missionette
Coordinator serving two hundred forty one churches across the state of
Louisiana.
Under the leadership of the Colliers, First Assembly has continued to grow
and thrive each year. The ministries of the church are dynamically
influencing the Springhill community and reaching around the globe through the
work of missions.

Associate Pastor
E. Daphne Roberts was born and raised in the
Shreveport and Springhill, Louisiana areas. "Pastor Daphne", a fifth
generation Pentecostal, pursued her credentials after years of ministry with
children, youth and
music.
In April of 2001 she was ordained by the Assemblies of God and has continued to
serve at First Assembly as an associate pastor and is developing her advance
education in Biblical Studies.
Pastor Daphne is a crucial part of First
Assembly of God. Her portfolio included pulpit ministry, teaching an
adult Sunday School class, leading our music and choir departments, leading our
evangelism ministries and advising our women' s
ministries. Pastor Daphne is a gifted musician and an excellent speaker
and respected throughout our Louisiana District of Assemblies of God. In
addition to her pastoral duties, Pastor Daphne serves the Bossier City Section
as the Women's Ministry Director (26 Churches).
First Assembly of God has been strengthened by
the ministry of this wonderful lady and minister of the gospel. The
Kingdom of Christ Jesus has been made stronger in our community through Pastor
Daphne's ministry.
